범죄 심리학이란 일반적인 범죄 행위에 관여하는 개인의 심리적, 행동적 특성을 설명하기 위한 학문입니다. 범죄심리학은 복잡하고 다면적인 개념이며, 모든 범죄자들의 특징의 공통적으로 발견되는 것을 가설화하고 이를 검증해 나가는 과정입니다.

게다가, 범죄 행위에 관여하는 많은 사람들은 금전적 이득, 사회적 압력 또는 다른 기회의 부족과 같은 다양한 이유로 범죄를 저지를 수 있기 때문에 다양한 관점에서 살펴 보아야 합니다.

게다가, 범죄 행위는 많은 다른 요소들이 작용하는 복잡한 문제이고, 잠재적인 범죄자들을 식별하는 데 사용될 수 있는 프로파일이 없다는 것으로 일반적인 요소 중에서 범죄와 연관될 수 있는 요소를 찾는 것 입니다.
